The Birthers

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been reading about this birther situation with Obama.  For those who may not be aware, the Birthers are the people who claim that Obama should not be president because they don’t believe he was born in the USA .

Let me just go on record and say that I don’t agree with the administration on everything it’s done (the bank bailout is my main problem), but there are those who simply go beyond mere disagreement and are just extremely unhappy with the results of the election.  They are not willing to accept defeat and are letting their unhappiness drive their activities which  border on being subversive. The Birthers are as bad as the these Town Hall Protestors.   These people really want to overturn the election.  It’s almost as if they want to provoke some sort of draconian response to their craziness.

The first video is from Joe Scarborough’s morning news show.  Scarborough is a prominent conservative who is a reasonable sort.    The second video is of an interview of the attorney who represents the birthers.  The attorney appears to be a bit on the crazy side.   G. Gordon Liddy is in the last video.  He was the mastemind behind the Watergate break in during the Nixon administration.  The people who are associated with this birther movement  really give an insight into the movement itself.  They and the Town Hall Protesters are cut from the same cloth.
