A Must Listen: Patrice Rushen & Karen Briggs

Probably a bit out of character for this blog, but we’re going to go with it nevertheless. I’ve absolutely no talent when it comes to music, but I do listen well and the interplay between those two ladies, both classically trained, is nothing short of amazing. It’s hard to characterize the style, it’s not quite jazz but not quite classical. It’s sort of a mixture between the two. No sound enhancers or mixers here, these ladies are just straight up playing the instruments. Astounding talent. Give a listen.
